Meeting held 3rd November 2011
This meeting was well attended. Mike, unfortunately, was unable to attend and sent apologies. We welcomed Kerensa to the group.
The subject was ‘The Kitchen Sink’ and what a selection there was; from findingnewborn lambs in the sink, to washing filthy football kit. We discussed the enormous sinks of long ago, to the tiny washbasins stuck in corners hardly big enough to get one hand in let alone two! Dishes piled up on draining boards, washing delicate glasses in the sink then have them slip through soapy hands to smash below the bubbles and be gone for ever. Yes, there were lots of ‘sink’ memories. I wonder if, in years to come, a dishwasher will conjure up as many!
